    FIRST COMMENTS

Being both aliens, Naida and Duke Fleed don't use any typical Japanese language suffix in the dialogue between people (-san, -chan) for their names when they talk to each other. Furthermore, during all the episode, Naida and Duke Fleed talk to each other using informal language. According to Japanese social rules, this means a very large and intimate level of confidence between two people, especially between a man and a woman.
In addition, Naida compares Duke with his version of Grendizer's pilot to recognize him when he meets him, and this could raise doubts: it would be like saying that Naida had never seen Duke without a helmet. But this is not the case: in the meantime, on the ground Daisuke carries peasant clothes, which the fleedians don't know, also he has a slightly different haircut. Therefore, it is normal that Naida does not immediately recognize him: moreover, the comparison with the "battle suit" version is necessary for the viewers, who don't know the Daisuke dressed in a fleedian way.
