ZORO AND ROBIN: A PRESENTATION OF THE CHARACTERSWith this article, I resume the English translation of Zorobin articles: I will post them next to the articles that I will post fron now onward, in order to reach the narrative arc of Wano in a fairly short time. Meanwhile, I present againt the characters here; then I resume the analysis from where I left off, in the narrative arc of Skypiea. Here is the first article about the Skypiea Arc. Happy reading for all foreign readers!RORONOA ZORO (or LORONOA-ROLONOA)Zoro is the first person to join Luffy officially on his pirate crew and thus he is a sort of second in command. At first, he joins unwillingly to Luffy and tells him that he will cut him down if he will interfere with his dream, that is becoming the strongest swordsman of the world. In this way he will honor his promise to Kuina, her friend died long ago. And for this motive he must absolutely beat the current strongest swordsman in the world: the terrible Drakul Mihawk, aka "Hawk eye". This shows how important is his dream for him. But this slowly changes and Zoro now believes that making his captain, Luffy, the Pirate King is most important. In fact, he sacrifices his life in Thriller Bark for this - and at times he was really sacrificed - and he begged Mihawk himself to teach him swordsmanship. This does not mean that Zoro will cease to deal with Mihawk, and "Hawk eye", amused, accepted the risk.
Zoro is best described as overconfident and loyal, as well as almost bloodthirsty. Out of all the Straw Hats, he is probably the one that loves to fight the most and along with Luffy and Sanji is described by Nami and Usopp as the three monsters. He is the second stronger member. Nevertheless, he has a more sensitive side that he tends to hide: he refuses to fight Tashigi and he actively tries to avoid her because she reminded him of his dead friend Kuina. He care a lot about the most vulnerable people, like Usop, Chopper, Nami, or kids, for example: this thing is clearly shown when, in his first ap
parition, Zoro protected a little girl from the marine. He likes parting. together with Robin, he is the most level-headed of the crew.
He is known as "pirate hunter Zoro": in effect he did this before joining to Luffy's pirate crew, but his nickname had stuck. In fighting, he uses the three-swords technique: one sword in each hand and hold the hilt of the third sword in his mouth. It is his characteristic technique, but he has no problem using a sword alone or two. His attacks and techniques have the name of demons, gods or animals. When he has to fight seriously against someone, he takes off his black handkerchief which he has at the arm and puts it on his head like a bandana, which gives him a more aggressive attitude. Another feature of his clothing is his girdle and the three earrings at the left ear. Zoro has a tendency to sleep often (but he does it much less since when Robin joined the crew) and he has a bad sense of direction .

NICO ROBINRobin is a very dinamic character that changed a lot from the miss All Sunday to the current Nico Robin that we know. Robin is introduced as an antagonist and the right-hand woman of Crocodile, of the criminal organization Baroque Works of Alabasta. Seemingly emotionless and cruel, it is later revealed that Robin had to join a criminal organization to avoid being captured and killed by the World Government from the age of eight. Often leaving said organizations when the World Government came for her or when they tried to hand her over. She joined Crocodile for a similar reason, but also to read the Poneglyph in Alabasta. Robins dream is to discover the true history of the Void Century, which is said to be written on the Poneglyphs. Unfortunately, most Poneglyphs contain knowledge of ancient and powerful weapons, which is why she is wanted by the World Government (their official reason) and also the reason her hometown was destroyed and her mother and friends were killed. Robin, realizing that the Alabasta Poneglyph does not contain the True History, decides she is tired of running away and she wants to die in the falling ruins. Luffy, realizing that Robin is not a bad person because she saved him twice, rescues her from the falling ruins against her will. Robin, then, demands Luffy he take responsibility because she has nowhere else to go. Luffy accepts and thus she ends up joining the Straw Hats. Other than Sanji and Luffy, most of the crew is suspicious of her but everyone eventually come to see her as a true crewmate and friend. Robin is very knowledgeable on many topics owing to her background as a scholar and prodigy. As such, Robin is the one that tends to explain things to the other Straw Hats.
She also has a morbid sense of humour and likes to matter-of-factly state rather morbid facts to the other crew members, much to their dismay. With Zoro, Robin is the most level headed. She is never seen over-reacting and she likes to adventure. She likes nice things , including Chopper . E ' interested in all types of flowers .
She proves to be a remarkable fighter, due to the duplication of her body (usually, the arms) thanks to the devil's fruit powers Hana Hana no mi. By her own admission, her specialty is murder. Her powers are versatile: they can be used for combat, espionage, and so on. After Zou, a new category of Poneglyphs appeared, able to point the way towards the One Piece.

ZOROBIN: SKYPIEA ARC - 6 - CLOUDS, FLOWER IN HAIRSI DID NOT FALL!The double page image shows Zoro falling into the water: the image has been enlarged. Oda, in the SBS (answers at the end of the chapters) confirmed that Zoro fell in the clouds, behind Robin. It is as if Robin had "distracted" him: you notice it because Zoro asks Robin if these are really clouds, because he doesn't want to appear idiotic in front of Robin for his fall, so he makes believe that he has fallen to see if those were actually clouds, and not because of his distraction (seriously, do you REALLY believe that Zoro wanted to stay there and see if they are clouds or not?). This means that Zoro does not want to make a bad impression in front of Robin: and note that, in all One Piece series, Robin NEVER makes jokes about Zoro or even criticisms about him. Bout she does it about others.
Zoro: Are these really clouds?
Sanji: Sweet Nami, here's a flower for you!
FLOWERS TO ROBINIn the manga there is a phrase of Sanji that speaks of "giving flowers to Nami": the scene does not appear in the manga. But in the anime, curiously, Sanji puts flowers in
Robin's hair. Sanji approaches Robin with
two flowers: and two is Zoro's number. Robin is surprised and a little shocked by this action from Sanji: she doesn't have her typical mocking smile. In fact, Sanji is giving Robin a flower...
right in front of Zoro! In fact, Zoro was behind her. So Robin is embarrassed: in fact, after she takes off the flower, looking around: subsequently, she observes Zoro ...
without the flower in her hair. Robin doesn't want to be misunderstood by Zoro: she cares too much about him.
